Abstract

We have investigated modifications of magneto-optical properties in the weak-field annealed Co-based amorphous ribbons. It is found that spectral and magnetic field dependences of the transverse Kerr effect significantly change with the time of annealing in air and the magnetic field magnitude. The analysis reveals the existence of two anisotropies, one in low fields up to 300 Oe and another in the field over 2 kOe.
