Abstract

Commercial grain-oriented Si-steel was studied using magnetostriction and magnetic properties, analysis of magnetic domain structure and complex susceptibility spectra. It was found that the analysis of modifications in the complex suspectibility spectra of laser-scribed samples could be useful for revealing of optimal technological parameters for the laser treatment of industrial Si-steels. Results showed that variations of magnetostriction and complex susceptibility spectra of laser-scribed HGO Si-steels were sensitive to modification in the structure of locally damaged areas in the vicinity of the laser described points.
