Abstract

We present an overview of three-dimensional (3D) optical imaging systems for real-time automated 3D identification of biological microorganisms without time and labor intensive bio-chemical processing. The presented method is based on optical 3D coherent imaging systems with digital computers to perform specially developed microorganisms identification algorithms.
