Modeling of asymmetric GMI profile for the estimation of anisotropy configuration

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

The numerically obtained GMI profile using single domain model shows the asymmetric two-peaks behavior when unidirectional anisotropy in axial direction is comparable to uniaxial one close to transverse direction. The hysteresis of the asymmetric profile for increasing and decreasing fields is not shown in the calculated GMI profile for the deviated angle of uniaxial anisotropy less than 10° from transverse direction regardless of unidirectional anisotropy characteristics. The value of field at the dip of calculated profile, Hdip is shift to small peak region in cases of different signs of uniaxial and unidirectional anisotropy angles, of which shift is in agreement with the measured profile. This analysis indicates that GMI-valve is attributed to the domain whose anisotropy directions are in different quadrant.
