Abstract

This paper reports the simple microfluidic platform that can be used on the conventional 96 well plate straightforwardly to realize the in-vitro network of multiple organotypic microtissues (MTs). MTs in the well plate were physically separated by each well but fluidically interconnected by the microfluidic channel lid. It allows to easily host various type of organotypic 3D MTs as well as cells in 2D due to the use of an typical 96 well plate. Moreover, further analysis can be conducted using normal bioanalytical tools, after removing the microfluidic channel lid.
