Abstract

A study was performed on ferromagnet-superconductor-ferromagnet (F-S-F) trilayer system. CuNi/Nb/CuNi films were grown by magnetron sputtering and it was shown that the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) of this system was slightly higher in the case that the mutual magnetization direction of the two CuNi layers was antiparallel (AP) compared to the parallel (P). It was also found that ∼25% resistance change occured when two CuNi layers changed their magnetization alignment from P to AP.
