Abstract

We have developed low temperature color filter (LTCF) on thin film encapsulation AMOLED panel for flexible top emission. The LTCF is simply performed under 90°C, compatible to OLED device and flexible substrate. Color filter on Red / Green / Blue (RGB) microcavity OLED pixels can extremely enhance contrast ratio in outdoor light, and thin film encapsulation can help photo-lithography on OLED blocking the damage of OLED from wet process. This paper demonstrates that the flexible top emission OLED panel, composed of LTCF, thin film encapsulation, and RGB OLED micro cavity can demonstrate flexible display device with a high outdoor readability, low power consumption, a wide viewing ability, and high color purity.
