Influence of the Kondo effect in optical excitation spectra and the band structure in rare-earth monopnictides

Abstract

Optical conductivities of CeSb and CeBi at 300 and 10 K were obtained from their reflectivities. It is found that the optical conductivities are generated by a free carrier with a frequency-dependent scattering rate.
