Abstract
Results on the study of the influence of precursor on near-surface micromagnetic structure, magnetostatic and dynamic magnetic properties of Co-rich amorphous ribbons are presented. The significant improvement of soft magnetic properties (HC<1 Oe), their homogeneity and the enhancement of magnetoimpedance ratio (up to 120%) were achieved by a rational choice of precursor, in particular, by using a rapidly quenched ribbon instead of a lump of bulk ingot.
