Abstract
The effects of polarizer and analyser imperfections in a magneto-optical Kerr spectrometer were studied. The Jones matrices with off-diagonal elements were used to analyze the effects. It was found that the imperfections did not seriously affect the measurements of magneto-optical Kerr effects.
