Abstract

In personal mobile systems, so many functions, above and beyond the original communication function, are being added to satisfy market requirements. The evolving personal mobile system requires more and more memory, a high-speed CPU and a large battery capacity. In this paper, a multimedia player has been designed and implemented which supports the high-resolution encoded contents of a personal mobile system. The personal mobile system which is proposed in this paper uses TI (Texas Instruments)'s CPU (DM6441) which has very powerful performance in the field of multimedia systems. The personal mobile system using DM6441 will be successful in mobile market and will become popular because it is able to play contents encoded by H.264 and encoded by MPEG-4 with the maximum XGA resolution (1024 by 768).
