Abstract

Controlled molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) assembly inside carbon nanofiber by boudouard reaction inspired selective carbon oxidation is demonstrated. Structure control of 2D MoS2is important to understand reaction mechanism and broaden its applications because it can diversify and optimize the material’s intrinsic properties without doping. The fabrication of MoS2is categorized into layer exfoliation from bulk MoS2, chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and thermal decomposition of precursors.
