Abstract

The biaxial currents method is presented to enhance the magnetoresistance (MR) ratio and linearity for the field in bilayer NiO(30 nm)/NiFe(30 nm) due to combined effects of MR and Planar Hall Resistance (PHR). When the biaxial currents I=(Ix, Iy) are simultaneously introduced in the sample, the measured voltage is given as functions of the tensor components of resistance and currents Ix, Iy, and the apparent MR ratio, δV / Vo is enhanced over a few hundred percent.
