Abstract
We investigate the effect of small noise and parameter mismatch on chaos synchronization. We numerically examine the quantity of desynchronization caused by these perturbations and show that high-quality synchronization varies depending on the magnitude of the perturbations. We confirm the numerical results with analytical estimates. Furthermore, we point out that an information signal acts like noise on synchronization in secure communication systems and that our results can be applied to designing a correct communication system.
