Abstract

We present a microfluidic platform, which allows for automated, simultaneous and continuous electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) recordings of multiple 3D cancer tissue spheroids. The impact of the drug 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) on 15 spheroids has been monitored by EIS over 90 hours and spheroid growth inhibition has been verified through optical methods and an endpoint ATP assay.
