Abstract

The giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) in weak-field-annealed Co-based amorphous ribbons was measured as functions of the annealing field (Ha) and the measuring frequency (f). The GMI profile at 0.1 MHz shows a typical two-peak behavior for the sample annealed at 50 mOe. The GMI peak in the region where applied field was antiparallel to annealing field decreases with the annealing field and shows an asymmetry in the profile of the sample for values of Ha over 100 mOe.
