Abstract
The results of magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity and specific heat on the alloy CePdGa3 with CePtGa3-type orthogonal structure are reported. The antiferromagnetic ordering occurs at TN = 5.5 K. The resistivity and the specific heat exhibit another anomaly around 7.5 K, while the magnetic susceptibility does not show any corresponding anomaly. We suggest that there is the possibility of quadrupolar interaction in the orthorhombic Ce system.
