Abstract

We succeeded in growing a stoichiometric single crystal of CeTe2. The magnetic susceptibility and magnetization were measured in H∥c- and H∥a(or b)-axis. The strong anisotropy is found in the magnetic properties due to the p-f mixing. The behavior due to the competition between the RKKY interaction and the non-magnetic p-f mixing is only observed in H∥a(or b)-axis.
