Abstract

Simulation has been used in many areas, including system designs and real-Time applications. Since the simulation of a large, complex system is a very expensive computational job, parallel discrete event simulation (PDES) has been studied eagerly and shown to achieve good speedup for a variety of simulations. We present a visual modeling environment for distributed simulation. The basic motivation is to provide a transparent modeling and simulation by hiding distributed simulation details. To prove the efficiency of the Visual Modeling Development Environment (VMDE), we develop a buffer and processor model which consists of a queuing system used by communication systems.
