Abstract
This letter proposes a finite impulse response (FIR) channel estimation filter that has robustness against the channel mismatch due to the FIR structure. The channel impulse response is described with a complex state space model and then estimated from received data on the recent time interval. Numerical results show that the FIR channel estimation filter can provide more robust performance than conventional Kalman IIR filters when channel model parameters are not correct.
