Abstract

4.5 electrochromic (EC) display has been fabricated and driven by passive matrix (PM) driving method. The 'cross-talk' problem between cell units, induced easily by PM driving skill, has been solved using gel type electrolyte and its isolation. White reflector makes good white reflectance, of which value is above 60%. The simple structure and easy driving method allow the device application in various areas, such as simple segment driving devices, display information (DI) board, and paper like display (PLD).
